Lucu juga. Lagu yang judulnya “Fun” ini isinya tentang ingin mati. Matt Fell, pria Philadelphia yang sudah main musik sejak SMA, sepertinya paham betul bahwa cara terbaik menyampaikan kelelahan hidup adalah dengan membungkusnya dalam tempo yang bikin kepala mengangguk tanpa izin.

“Control Alt Delete Copy Paste me, Cut a corner piece of mind”, tulisnya di tengah lagu seolah sedang mengetik surat resign dari kehidupan, tapi pakai font Comic Sans. Baris itu konyol sekaligus pedas.

Dan ketika chorus “Why can’t it be fun” datang berulang, pertanyaan itu berhenti menjadi retoris dan mulai terasa seperti tuntutan sungguhan yang dilayangkan ke alam semesta.

Gitar renyah, drum yang menolak melambat, dan vokal Matt Fell yang terdengar terlalu ceria untuk isi liriknya sendiri. Kombinasi yang bikin geregetan sekaligus lega. Album keduanya boleh ditunggu.
