Tidak butuh lama untuk kita bertemu lagi dengan Maya Allaire, kali ini lewat “In Meditation”, lagu yang katanya sendiri awalnya tidak pernah direncanakan untuk dirilis ke publik. Justru dari niat yang sesederhana itu, kejujurannya terasa lebih telanjang, seperti obrolan larut malam di kamar temaram, hanya ditemani cahaya ponsel yang redup.

Petikan gitar akustik berfungsi sebagai detak jantung, memberi yang hangat pada ruang dengar. Musiknya bergulir dengan ritme mid-tempo yang lembut, membiarkan ruang tetap lapang tanpa perlu ditumpuk banyak instrumen pendukung. Semuanya terasa akrab, seperti memori yang baru saja tersusun ulang di atas meja kopi yang berantakan.

“I fall in love too quickly, so someone else can validate me” jadi titik paling tajam dalam lagu ini, mengubah apa yang tadinya terdengar seperti lagu cinta biasa menjadi pengakuan akan pola yang tidak sehat. Maya Allaire membawakannya dengan vokal yang jernih namun rentan, seolah sedang menertawakan naifnya diri sendiri sambil perlahan belajar untuk tumbuh.

Menjelang akhir lagu, kita ditinggalkan dengan sisa perenungan yang cukup dalam, jarang ditemukan dari musisi yang berani menelanjangi motif batinnya sendiri.
