Alyssa Caroline membuka single ini dengan rasa yang terang dan renyah, lalu menimbunnya dengan lapisan electro pop menjelang reff. Chorusnya meledak. Perintah dua kata ditembakkan beruntun, “Touch me”, “Kiss me”, “Love me”, “Show me”, dan kepala kita ikut mengangguk di tiap ketukan. Ada kegembiraan yang tidak malu-malu di sini.
Bagian favorit saya justru di bait pertama, ketika ia menyanyikan “You’re everything that I wrote down on my list”. Romantis, sekaligus sedikit seperti daftar belanja bulanan.
Keberatannya, Butterflies memutar reff yang sama tiga kali tanpa banyak perubahan. Baris “We’re the only ones alive” juga sudah terdengar di terlalu banyak lagu cinta. Tapi untuk lagu yang isinya cuma ingin disentuh dan dicium, rasanya memang tidak perlu repot.
Satu putaran reff lagi pun kita tidak keberatan, Mbak Alyssa Caroline!
