Riley Rowan – Separate Love

Kabar kecil dulu. Separate Love ditulis untuk drama mikro vertikal If You Catch Me, jadi wajar kalau ia sudah tahu di mana kameranya diletakkan.

Refrainnya sederhana, “In this separate lie / In this separate life”, nyanyinya.

Kalau If You Catch Me jadi tayang, adegan jam enam pagi itu sudah punya lagu, dan namanya Separate Love.

Lirik Lagu Riley Rowan – Separate Love

Separate Love
Riley Rowan

VERSE — 2am
I'm tired
Of the lies
Of your eyes
Just today
I need to sleep
Lost for once
Lost here
Hesitation
Is my escape
From your need
From your greed
Still I'm hoping
I keep coping
Find a way
Find my way

VERSE — 4am
I'm smoking
While you sleep
No clue
I cry
In silence
Can't take
What you do
All days
A mirror
Reflect
What you own
Our space
Is empty
Never felt
This alone

CHORUS
In this separate lie
In this separate life
In this separate space
In this separate love
In this separate love
In this separate love

VERSE — 6am
I'm packing
For this time
For all time
Broken words
Too much
For my heart
Wasted heart
Desperation
Is my retreat
From myself
And my dreams
Still I'm grasping
For a moment
With you
In me

CHORUS
In this separate lie
In this separate life
In this separate space
In this separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love
This separate love

Hook vokal yang melekat di kepala dan aransemen dinamis serupa tersaji apik dalam ulasan Andy Tongren – lucky me lucky you serta arsip ulasan Jon Jon x Jared Martin – I See You.
