Antrean kasir, seorang ibu yang menangis, senin yang lesu, tatapan marah orang-orang di jalan. My Old Controller menumpuk potongan hari biasa itu di Ghosts, lalu menyela setiap barisnya dengan pertanyaan yang sama, “Where are you?”

Bunyinya tidak ikut murung. Gitar dan ketukannya bergerak rapat, temponya bersemangat, dan ia terus melaju tanpa sempat berhenti untuk meratap. Racikan folk rock ini membuat pertanyaan getir di liriknya terasa ringan dikunyah. Kita diajak mengangguk-anggukkan kepala sambil ditanya apakah dunia sedang kehilangan arah.

Reff menjawabnya setengah yakin. “Are we losing the plot? I hope not”, nyanyinya, lalu ia menawarkan sesuatu yang sederhana, kayu bakar untuk perapian. Ada kehangatan yang dijaga di situ, sekecil apa pun.

Menjelang akhir, single ini menyebut dunia sebagai pulau yang dihuni hantu, dan baru di sana judulnya masuk akal. Satu baris di reff terakhir juga bergeser diam-diam, dari kita yang kehilangan akal menjadi aku seorang. Saya suka geseran kecil itu lebih dari yang bisa saya jelaskan.
