Jon dan Marta sudah nikah hampir 12 tahun dan nulis musik bareng sebagai Ollie Ander White selama 8 tahun terakhir, dan “Crystal Clear” kelihatan banget hasil dari kolaborasi yang matang.

Judulnya ironis dengan sengaja, “Crystal Clear” tapi isinya justru tentang kebingungan total di tengah kebisingan dunia digital dan membawa rasa moody pas buat nampung kegelisahan itu, dibangun dari verse yang intim sampai chorus yang meledak besar bersama hook yang cukup funky dan segar.

Lirik “so long, digital truth of my analog mind, not inclined, don’t believe it” itu sindiran halus ke era yang katanya penuh informasi tapi malah bikin orang makin bingung mana yang nyata. Chorus “we’re lost at sea, it’s crystal clear” jadi paradoks yang justru jujur, satu-satunya hal yang jelas malah pengakuan bahwa mereka benar-benar tersesat.

“Crystal Clear” nggak berusaha kasih jawaban gampang, tapi jujur soal betapa membingungkannya coba cari pegangan di tengah dunia yang serba digital sekarang.
