Motel Static – Lost Mind (feat. Gab Smalldon)

“You’ve got a whole damn room in mine”, nyanyinya.

Baris “Some things lose their shape when forced to fit” memang terasa terlalu rapi, seperti kutipan kalender meja, tapi saya memaafkannya.

Di ruangan berisi seratus orang itu, Lost Mind milik Motel Static tetap memandang satu wajah saja.

Lirik Lagu Motel Static – Lost Mind (feat. Gab Smalldon)

Every voice is fighting to be heard
Faces fading underneath the lights
Funny how a room can hold a hundred people
And somehow only one stays in your sight

I wasn’t looking for a reason
Wasn’t waiting for a sign
You were just another stranger
Till you weren’t, somewhere that night

You said “I want my mind back”
Like I hadn’t lost mine too
If I’ve been living in your head
You’ve got a whole damn room in mine

We can say we never planned it
We can say it moved too fast
But I don’t want it back
If getting lost feels like this

Everything is moving around me
Steel and sirens, passing lights
Somehow you found something quiet
I never noticed was inside

You called it calm amongst the chaos
Like you’d known it all this time
Strange to see myself reflected
In a way I’d never tried

You said “I want my mind back”
Like I hadn’t lost mine too
If I’ve been living in your head
You’ve got a whole damn room in mine

We can say we never planned it
We can say it moved too fast
But I don’t want it back
If getting lost feels like this

I don’t know what comes tomorrow
I don’t need to name it yet
Maybe not knowing is the best part
Some things lose their shape when forced to fit

You can keep the part you stole
I’m in no hurry to get it back
If my mind is somewhere with you
I think it’s in good hands

I said “I want my mind back”
Now you’ve lost yours too
You’ve been living in my head
You’ve got a whole damn room in mine

We can say we never planned it
We could never move too fast
But I don’t want it back
If getting lost feels like this

I don’t want it back
I don’t want it back
If getting lost feels like this
Maybe I’m alright with that
