“I have gone past / The no return sign,” serunya sadar saat memutuskan tancap gas meninggalkan masa lalu. Liriknya menolak pura-pura linglung, memilih mengakui bahwa bertahan justru bakal meremukkan segalanya lebih parah.
Jika nomor pembuka Away From You ini menjadi tolok ukur, album debut Modern Love garapan VEGASLICE kelak jelas menyimpan amunisi indie rock yang bakal meledak di panggung festival.
Lirik Lagu VEGASLICE – Away From You
One thing is for sure
You never thought that I would go as far
To tear us apart
And our time was given
To you and me
And our love was taken apart
Soon it will be dark
Too late to go to play cards in our car
While it rains outside
And I took the risk
Now there's no way back, it's time to face it
I will regret this
But I must go
I'm out of control
I have gone past
The no return sign
I'm in the wild
I'm on the run
I'm out of control
I have gone past
The no return sign
I'm in the wild
And I never thought I would say this before
But when I was with you, I thought I wanted more
And that pushed me
That pushed me
Away from you
Away from you
Away from you
Away from you
Away from you
Away from you
And our time was given
To you and me
And our love was taken apart
And I took the risk
Now there's no way back, it's time to face it
I will regret this
But I must go
I'm out of control
I have gone past
The no return sign
I'm in the wild
I'm on the run
I'm out of control
I have gone past
The no return sign
I'm in the wild
Away from you
Away from you
Away from you
