THE IMMUNE membuka “I Don’t Even Smoke” dengan kegelisahan yang aneh tapi jujur, tiba-tiba butuh rokok padahal tidak pernah merokok, semacam metafora untuk kecanduan yang jauh lebih rumit dari sekadar kebiasaan fisik.

Musiknya mengalir dengan energi yang tidak pernah kendor, ketukan rapat menjaga tensi tetap tinggi dari awal sampai akhir. Vokalnya lantang dan menular, dibawakan dengan cara yang membuat kemarahan dan kesedihan terasa bercampur jadi satu, bukan dipisah rapi.

“Ruin me slowly, pretend that you know me, keep me addicted, say that you own me” jadi chorus yang menangkap inti lagu ini dengan tajam, siklus hubungan yang merusak tapi tetap sulit dilepaskan.
