Clara Lars – Fall Back

Clara Lars selalu datang dengan sesuatu yang istimewa, dan kali ini ia menyapa kita dengan lagu yang ditulis-direkam-diproduksi-dalam-sehari. Dua puluh empat jam. Lebih cepat dari mengurus surat pindah di kelurahan.

Hasilnya sama sekali tidak terdengar terburu-buru. Fall Back berjalan di atas denyut bass synth yang terus mendorong, sementara tekstur sintetis berkilau di frekuensi atas, ditaburi sedikit grit supaya tidak terlalu licin. Alurnya tidak terlalu padat. Ada ruang yang dibiarkan kosong di sela ketukan, dan di situlah vokal adek Clara yang jernih menyelinap masuk dengan mendesak. Ia enerjik tapi tetap murung, jenis tembang yang membuat kita mengangguk-angguk sambil diam-diam memikirkan seseorang.

Narasinya soal siklus yang sudah jelas salah tapi terus diulang. Datang, pergi, lalu kembali sambil ngebut. Yang saya suka, Clara Lars tidak memposisikan diri sebagai korban yang meratap.

“Act all nonchalant, but you just look rehearsed,” sindirnya. Pedas, dan ditulis oleh remaja enam belas tahun.

Sehari saja untuk Fall Back, dan hasilnya selengket ini. Good job, Clara!
